Earlier in the week I covered one option for donating to local rescues simply by putting feet to pavement. Today I wanted to cover another option with a similar idea for both Canada and the United States.
ResqWalk announces a donation pool (an amount of money to be divided) each week, and in order for a rescue to receive donations from the pool, its supporters simply need to check into the app when going for a walk. Each walker's distance is recorded and added to the rescue's weekly sum. At the end of the week donations are paid out to the rescues proportional to the total distance walked.
Within the app you are able to view walk history (time and distance traveled), and see the recues you have supported along the way. They even have leaderboards to view how your rescue stacks up against others.
Yet another great option for Chicago dog walkers to bring attention to the charity of their choice. All over Chicago, dog walkers in Lincoln Park 60614, Lakeview 60657, Old Town 60611, River North 60654, Streeterville, and Gold Coast 60601 would make a huge donation if forces were combined.
